An office move that shuts down a business for a workday costs more than the move itself. That’s why commercial jobs get scheduled around your actual operating hours — evenings, weekends, whatever keeps the doors open during business hours — instead of a default Monday-morning slot that assumes everyone can afford the downtime.

Small offices, retail buildouts, and storage-unit-to-new-space moves are all quoted after Anthony or Marcus walks the space and asks what has to stay operational and when. Pricing runs on the same hourly crew structure as residential jobs, scaled to the volume of desks, files, and equipment involved, with weekend and after-hours scheduling built in at no premium. Downtown Brooklyn office towers and small Sunset Park storefronts get the same planning call before anything moves, and a larger office can be phased over a weekend if a full shutdown isn’t an option.

What’s Included With This Service

  • Evening and weekend scheduling at no premium over weekday rates
  • Walkthrough to plan around what has to stay operational and when
  • Desk, file cabinet, and office equipment handling
  • Coordination with building management for loading dock and freight access
  • Crew sized to the volume of the move, quoted after walkthrough

What This Service Costs

Crew size sets your hourly rate — $145/hr for two movers, $190/hr for three, $235/hr for four — and if you’d rather lock in a firm number first, Anthony or Marcus can walk the job ahead of time and write one up

The truck, dollies, and furniture pads all ride inside that hourly rate, nothing billed separately: $145 for two movers, $190 for three, $235 for four, and $50/hr for each additional mover after that. A $175 deposit holds your date and is credited straight to the final invoice. Basic coverage comes standard on every job, and if your building requires a certificate of insurance or a freight elevator reservation, Gina has it arranged before your crew ever shows up.

Questions About This Service, Answered

Can you move us over a weekend so we don't lose a business day?
Yes — weekend and after-hours moves are common for commercial jobs and don't cost more than a weekday slot.
Do you handle building freight-elevator coordination for office towers?
Yes, our office coordinates freight reservations and COI requirements with commercial building management the same way we do for residential buildings.
Is this run by your own crew or a commercial subcontractor?
Our own crew and trucks handle commercial moves — we don't bring in a separate outside team for business relocations.

The Paperwork Handled Before The Truck Ever Shows Up.

The person on the phone with you owns every truck on the lot. Anthony started Brooklyn Best Movers in 2014 after six years of watching building supers hold up moves because nobody had booked the elevator or filed the insurance paperwork — so now the COI, the elevator reservation, and the parking plan get locked in the day you book, not scrambled together the morning of.
